Academic Mobility for Students and Teaching Staff (Faculty)

Academic mobility is the transfer of students (bachelor, master or doctoral students) to another (domestic or foreign) higher education institution for a semester or academic year with mandatory credit transfer upon completion of studies at the partner university, as well as the transfer of students, researchers and teaching staff to foreign higher education institutions for research and internships for periods ranging from 10 days to one academic year.

For Faculty:

Attracting foreign students and faculty.

Types of Academic Mobility:

outgoing (from ETU to partner university),

incoming (from partner university to ETU).

Outgoing Academic Mobility of ETU Students to Partner University:

Main Criteria for Participation in the Academic Mobility Program:

Completion of at least one academic year at ETU,

Excellent/good academic performance, GPA not less than 3.0 for foreign universities, not less than 2.5 for Kazakhstani universities;

Proficiency in the language of instruction at the partner university at a sufficient level (not less than B2).

Funding for Academic Mobility:

from the republican budget;

from extra-budgetary funds of Eurasian Technological University;

grants from national companies, social partners and international funds;

funds from the host party, grants from international organizations and private foundations;

may be funded by the student own funds.

Forms of Faculty Academic Mobility

Short-term and long-term business trips to participate in conferences, seminars, master classes;

Internships and experience exchange at foreign universities;

Teaching courses or lectures at partner universities abroad;

Participation in joint research projects and studies;

Preparation of joint publications and methodological materials.
